The town of Bandel, not too far from the mega city Kolkata, retains its own character of a mix of city life, where upper middle class can afford all conveniences and comforts including electronic gadgets, and a small town life, where a large low middle class and poor population exist but cannot afford good schools or other amenities of a minimum standard of living. Lily Foundation came forward in this environment years ago with its support basket of High School Coaching Home, Bookbank and scholarships helping the boys and girls coming from the low-end families. The newest offering is a computer learning facility opened in a good school.

Shyamaprasad Jatiya Vidyalaya, with its impressive building facilities, playfields and a very dedicated teaching staff stands tall extending helping hands to the students from economically less capable families. Sponsors Mr. Sunandan Sen and Mrs. Nargis Chawla, very concerned about these boys' and girls' accessability to opportunities of good education in schools are heartily cooperating for the computer learning center and its long-term viability.
