MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) And Lily Foundation Alliance
Lily Foundation in partnership with the MIT-India (MISTI) proudly offers internships to university students for the “Train the Trainers” program. As part of MIT-India’s goal to contribute to India’s existing and emerging needs, MIT students who are at the forefront of research, technology, and innovation can participate in collaborations through the Lily Foundation, a premier charitable non-profit organization in India. Lily Foundation’s vision is to break the cycle of poverty through the gift of education. “Train the Trainers” enables university students to train volunteer teachers and tutors in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) topics at Lily’s high schools and class-room centers in rural villages of India. These teachers can in turn educate needy children and introduce them to next stage of science and computer skills to succeed in life. The MALA Program enables MIT Interns to truly make a difference in the lives of the most impoverished students in India and guide them out of poverty. Lily and MISTI can assist with travel, housing, and other logistics.
