Coming from a family of five, where father is engaged in farming earning Rs 2225/- (less than $50) a month, Soumya receives 90+% in the annual exam. She shows a great talent in singing winning many competitions in the field - Pratibha Karangi Cultural Competition in multiple years with 1st prize and Laghu Sangeet Competition 1st prize to name a few. No wonder her hobby is singing, but she loves running also. Soumya wants to be an engineer when she grows up.
