Coming from a family of six, where father is a tea-stall owner earning Rs 1500/- (less than $34) a month, Prakash receives a 1st division with 79% in Madhyamik 2008. He has shown talents in science-talent search competitions winning top positions. Besides, he is good at painting earning prizes there too. He helps his father at the family tea-stall in off-hours. Prakash'hobbies are painting and gardening. He wants to be an engineer when he grows up.
