Coming from a family where Dipa is raised by a neighborhood "aunty", as her parents did never provide any parental care, and now her father wants to get her married without any concern of her age or ambition, she (Dipa) stands 3rd in class, securing AA grades. Ms. Manju Nandi, Aunty, has a monthly income of just Rs. 600/- (less than $13).

Bankura District Sports Association awards Dipa certificates of honor in championship competitions at multiple meets. S he wins sports prizes at school every year. Besides, s he organizes community festivals like Durga Puja, Kali Puja and Saraswati P uja. Her hobbies are dancing, singing , reading and gardening. Dipa wants to be an ideal teacher when she grows up.
