Coming from a family of 4 , where father is a small farmer earning only Rs. 900 /- a month (less than $ 19 ) , Champaklata secures B + average in the annual exam .

Champaklata takes part in the rescue effort of the stranded villagers in a week-long incessant rains. She also participates in school annual functions winning prizes. Her hobby is reading interesting books. Champaklata wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
