13-01 Apurba Rana is a student of class X at Kidderpore Academy , Kolkata in the academic year 2013-2014. He is the first boy in class who scored 77% in the last annual exam. He comes of a family where father is deceased and mother earns by selling flowers only Rs. 1500/- (less than $30) a mo to feed the family of 2. Yet, the boy keeps interests strong in activities and initiatives outside academics as well. Apurba participates in quiz, essay competition and Talent Search Competition winning medals. His hobbies are playing cricket and gardening. Apurba wants to be teacher in profession.

13-02 Mousumi Pal  is a student of Gr. X in Narrah GK High School, Bankura in the academic year 2013-2014. She scored 76% in the last annual exam. She comes from a family of 4, where father earns working in a goldsmith shop Rs. 1500/- (less than $25) a month. She loves story-writing. Mousumi wants to become a doctor in life.
