Coming from a family of 3 with an income of Rs. 900/- (less than $20) a month earned by her father as sweeper, Mandira display s an extreme determination fighting all odds. She received 85% in Madhyamik Exam. She regulary participates in quiz, singing and recitation competitions earning medals and other prizes. She helps her mother at household works and teaches neighborhood kids. Mandira loves to read books, listen to music and sing. She wants to earn a Ph. D in Geography and professionally become a G eologist.
