Lily Foundation appreciates your participation at Annual Dinner

On June 26, 2009, Lily Foundation held their Annual Appreciation dinner at FunAsia located in Richardson , Texas .  The event was graced with well-wishers and donors from all strata of the Indian community.   Cocktails and appetizers were served followed by a delicious spread of Indian cuisine.  The event was opened with a heart felt speech by the President of Lily Foundation, Mr. Anirudha Maitra.  This year’s program was particularly interesting as it involved the participation of young individuals who entertained the guests with beautiful songs and dances, as well as with an inspiring speech by one of them on her visits to two of the Lily Foundation Aalo Schools in Kolkata.  The audience was moved and the event ended with a feeling of satisfying warmth amongst the guests that led to a successful evening.

2003 SMILE Student Makes Headline

Sajal Dey has been doing well consistently in school and in college earning top scores. But this time, the newspaper catches on to his outstanding result in the region. After finishing school at Jagadish Chandra High School in Ghatsila, Jharkhand, Sajal went for college education in Ghatsila college. Lily Foundation's Regift 50-50 SMILE Scholarship helped him to overcome the pull-back of family poverty.

2008 SMILE Students Excel in Madhyamik and Higher Secondary

2008 Smile Scholars have graduated with excellent results with 90% of the students securing First Division in Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Exams.  Congratulations to all these students!

Kulbani Vidyasagar Computer Center

Mr. Banaj Kamal & Ms. Anjana Basu of Los Angeles, California are inspired to extend the new-age gift of computer education to the deprived remote village students in Paschim Medinipur. Vidyasagar Computer Center is the next Lily Foundation venture up for implementation in Kulbani High School, where 200 students are to get the familiarity training every year, with an expected 120 students graduating with basic computer education courses.

The Center is planned to be inaugurated late this year.

New AALO Study Home Sponsors

Lily Foundation appreciates the generous support in favor of running the primary and pre-primary level kids' schools in outlying areas where the prejudices still rule the life. What's Next?
Wish Happy Thanksgiving to the Homeless

On 22nd November, 2009, Lily Foundation members and volunteers will meet again at the Fort Worth UGM Church to cook and serve hot lunch to around 200 homeless people.  Everyone who has joined Feed-the-Needy event in the past has expressed a great satisfaction at the fun and service provided. Come with family.
